People who are receiving complex home care typically have substantial and on-going healthcare needs as a result of chronic illness, disabilities or following hospital treatment. When someone needs to receive complex medical care, most believe the only place this can be provided is in a hospital or care home setting.
However, more and more families are now choosing to receive complex care in the comfort and familiarity of their own home with care provided by a specialist live-in care provider, who employs professional carers trained to support a number of complex medical conditions. Complex care is sometimes referred to as long-term care or continuing care.
We have supported several CCG's, as well as private customers, to help clients achieve the comfort they deserve in their final days. Our support, which is sensitive and compassionate, is provided to the family as a whole, and not just the individual as we understand that this is a difficult time for all involved. We work with all professionals involved in the care of your loved one.
We work under the shared care protocol with all those involved in delivering care, including District Nurses and GPs. Our main priority is to prevent and relieve suffering and to improve quality of life for people facing serious and terminal illness.
